Covid-19 Emotions

2021.12.01 19:38 Turbulent-Bumblebee9 Covid-19 Emotions

Husband just tested positive for COVID and I’m just feeling so overwhelmed and so many emotions.
I’m angry at his colleague who continued coming into work despite living with people who had tested positive and having symptoms for 2 weeks before getting tested.
I’m disappointed about having to cancel our hotel break we had booked for this weekend.
I’m worried about my husband and how he’s feeling.
But most of all I’m terrified that I’ve got it (tested negative today, but that could change in a couple of days!) and what that means for my baby. I have my first ultrasound in a couple of days, so I’m going to have to call and cancel. Im already anxious for the scan to make sure everything is ok, but I’m now I’m worrying even more!
Sorry for the rant. Needed to get that all off my chest!

2021.12.01 19:38 BlackQuazi 🔥aFlame - A hyper deflationary (🔥BURNING-MEME-TOKEN🔥) token with a 50 Trillion Total Supply. 18% Burns & 2% Buy-Back to Burn Tax

Rank 38: Top 100 Token
25 Trillion out the 50 Trillion Starting Supply Left!
Token Information(🔥BURNING-MEME-TOKEN🔥):

A hyper deflationary (🔥-Burning) token with a 50 Trillion Total Supply. The token has a 20% fee in which 18% of the amount bought or sold is then burned out of circulation. The amount of users trading will heavily influence the token's price and amount in the circulating supply. The other 2% is a tax for development and marketing, these funds will be used for buybacks and manual burns. Our goal is to lower the circulating supply as much as possible!
🔥When buying or selling, please remember to set slippage to 15-20%. We require a higher slippage due to transaction burn tax(18%) and buy-back tax(2%) which amounts to 20%!

2021.12.01 19:38 Tetraplasma 100% Computershare? Explained in-depth for the Smooth Ape.

100% Computershare? Explained in-depth for the Smooth Ape. There is a lot of controversy around this subject so I figured I'd make a post about it.
A lot of apes are trying to figure out what they "should" do. The answer is: it depends.
What is your overall situation? What types of risk and how much risk are you comfortable with? What is your investment goal? All of these questions factor into "how" to invest. This is why everyone is different and has different opinions upon direct registration and the pros and cons associated with it.
GME is a different animal because it sits in an unusual place in the market where risk and future value are challenging to make sense of. As a result there are many different ways to successfully invest in it. This post will go over the overall investment strategies and some of the potential risks associated with each. Keep in mind, this is only a general overview and is presented in as neutral and non-judgemental light as I'm able. I'm assuming you've read all relevant DD's showing that there is a high probability that supply and demand has been (and is still) adulterated with this ticker. It is currently under what is called a "naked short squeeze" which has never happened on this big of a scale or stage. The previous is assumed.
ALL INVESTMENT IS RISK. Yet, so is the lack thereof. There is no advice here. Only the information that I've gathered over time.
Computershare Direct Registration Pros
1) Gamestop knows who you are - DIRECT RELATIONSHIP - When directly registered, your shares are stored on the Master Ledger held at the Transfer agent, and your relationship is directly with Gamestop with only the transfer agent (Computershare) whom provides services for Gamestop as an intermediary. When shares are held at a broker they are often by default held in street name, so Gamestop would not know that you are a shareholder if a broker defaults or other extreme volatility occurs.
2) It gives unfettered control over the shares registered - CONTROL - This could have tremendous value in the long term based upon what Gamestop seems to be developing. Although there have been no announcements yet, a substantial amount of evidence would point to the fact that Gamestop is building a blockchain based marketplace of some sort (speculation at this point). The ability to vote and influence company directives and future governance in the long term would likely have tremendous value in such a revolutionary technology/product that could entirely reshape the financial world. Future value beyond MOASS could be tremendous.
3) These shares cannot be Rehypothecated or Collateralized - SECURITY - This direct relationship with Gamestop has the ability to mitigate "MIM" (man-in-the-middle) attacks from potential "mistakes", "errors", or downright fraudulent activity from brokers, banks, market makers, or clearing houses that might have a conflict of interest. This could mitigate risks associated with dividends or other unknown future values provided to shareholders by Gamestop. This has the ability to definitively prove malicious activity or exacerbate a short squeeze if all shares are accounted for in direct registration. It would mean that any other share in the marketplace has been rehypothecated.
4) True and unfettered ownership of the shares - OWNERSHIP - If your shares are held at a broker, you are a beneficial shareholder, which means that you do not truly own those shares, nor do you have full legal rights and protections to your ownership of them. They are a derivative of a derivative of a share that is owned by Cede and Co. When shares are directly registered, you are the true and only owner.
As a result of the Pros of Direct Registration, it seems to be a common consensus among this Community that Direct Registration is the safest place to have and to hodl GME shares due to the significant DD and evidence provided by the community.
Computershare Direct Registration Cons
1) Limited Broker Services - CONVENIENCE - The services that brokers offer can be extensive, such as tax documents, technical analysis, knowledgeable support, etc. The value of these services among experienced or hardened investors may not be "worth the price paid" for GME investors. However, Computershare does work with a broker so you can sell DRS shares if you so choose to, but it won't have the convenience or capabilities that a broker would.
2) Different Type of Risk when Selling - RISK - The speed of execution of sales, and restrictions associated with limit orders could increase risk during extreme volatility. Computershare has no limit on Market orders, but prices could fluctuate rapidly, and spreads could severely widen during extreme volatility. Meaning that you could try to sell it at one price, and it could execute FAR lower than what you intended. Limit orders are known to give greater control over what you sell a security for, but Computershare currently has a restriction of approximately $200,000-250,000 per share with limit orders. This may be an area of focus for Computershare to work with their broker to remove restrictions associated with limit orders involving selling directly registered shares.
To DRS, or not to DRS, that is the question. It really depends upon what you value. Do you value the company and its future on the other side of a squeeze? Or are you really only in it to cause a squeeze?
Holding DRS shares could CAUSE a squeeze, but selling them could DESTROY one. Each individual should know going into an investment what their goal is. Once you've decided. It may be ideal not to let any external emotional influence deter you from that. Emotions will run very high with this investment. Know what you want. Plan a path to achieve or acquire it. There's no right or wrong here. There is only the future that you choose based upon how you invest. Remember, you are never as alone as you think.
Personally, I don't intend to EVER sell my DRS shares. This is how I intend to protect Myself, Gamestop, and other investors in Gamestop. I know who I am, I know what I want, and I've made my choice.

2021.12.01 19:38 dankins777 Interview tips for pivoting from consulting to EHS

I have been in the consulting industry for 1.5 years since I graduated with a BS in Environmental Systems (basically just a slightly more interdisciplinary approach to environmental science). I enjoy the work itself in consulting but I am desperate to leave my company (more details on a prior post). My friend that works at a large biotech firm referred me for a job in their Environmental Health and Safety department and the company seems very interested after my initial screening interview.
I feel like I have a good chance since I got a great referral from my friend who knows the managers of the EHS department, but I am still nervous about how to approach the next interview. What kind of questions will they likely ask? I don’t think have any relevant certifications but I am CPR certified and have completed an OSHA 30hr training for construction site safety (not sure if either of those matter). I also have decent experience with construction monitoring so I feel like that could be applicable to show I have experience evaluating environmental compliance and adhering to strict safety standards. Any advice helps!

2021.12.01 19:38 aab173 Best escape room in Victoria?

Looking to do an escape room with family, about 6 people. We've all done several before. Any opinions on Horror Escape vs Quest vs Victoria Escape Games? I've been blown away by the quality of Locurio in Seattle, but was pretty underwhelmed by the Doll Master room @ Horror Escape a few years ago. Any experience with the newer Horror Escape rooms? Thanks!

I'm making a Level 12 monster that is going to have the effect to gain 200 ATK for every card in the GY but I can't decide if getting ATK from either GY is too broken. So I would like some input on whether it should be just your GY or if it could be both without being broken.
