Safe US Territories?

2021.12.01 19:35 GuyEnviro Safe US Territories?

As I sit here waiting for my passport application date, I am wondering if something were to happen before I have my passport in hand and war broke out, which US territories might be safe from attack? I assume Guam is out, but what about the others? I am thinking perhaps American Samoa?

2021.12.01 19:35 WhyNotMeeeeee 🎮The Game Token 🎮 UTILITY GEM💎<1 Million Marketcap

🎮The Game Token 🎮 UTILITY GEM💎<1 Million Marketcap After a successful launch of $TG on BSC and our platform PlayToBlock last Sunday, we are now working on Marketing to get our baby flying!
What do we already have to offer and why should you invest into our future plans?
  • $TG will be used as an in-game currency for our own Mini Games. A gambling "Dice Game" is already live, aiming for more sophisticated Games at a later stage and ideas are already brewing.
  • Developers that have fun and want to make money developing a game can use parts of our infrastructure and our token $TG as their in-game currency. Not everyone wants to start their own project!
  • Reflections - As 4% of every transaction is redistributed to investors, you gain tokens on every buy and sell just by holding.
  • Collaborations and Partnerships. $TG holders could get WL spots for projects we partner with, discount rates through collaborations and much more.
  • Lottery. Once a month, you can be one of three lucky winners to win either 50%, 30% or 20% of the reflections reserved for the lottery. The first few days after launch we did "Winner Takes All" after having admittedly low volume and sent 222$ in $BNB to the lucky winner!
  • PlayToBlock Mobile App. No, not another list of tokens you have to go through in the browser!
Later down the road we plan on having our own job section, working with sports teams, a swap, The Game payment card and will hopefully tap into the VR world.

I believe that I'm very capable to give tips. You can dm me or leave a comment
Context: I'm highly sensitive and because of that I know exactly what to say every time and how people feel and how they will react to something. It's both a blessing and a curse.

2021.12.01 19:35 Most_Situation_8012 Is it cultural appropriation for non Chinese people to wear Chinese carved jade?

So my Afghan gf was recently talking about wanting to buy a jade bracelet. The ones that was just a circle. Being a Chinese person, i told her before she buys it, id appreciate it if she looked into the significance and culture surrounding jade and Chinese people. Because of how much jade was a factor in my life growing up. And also with how many people in America, today, wear these huge fake jade buddhas on their chains. Its bothers me because i know they arent buddhist or even know the name of the buddha they wore. I understand jade isn't exclusive to chinese culture, but it does have great significance to us and our jewelry. And our jewelry is different from other cultures who use jade. So my question is, are those circle bracelets come from Chinese culture? And is the wearing of jade jewelry that is related to Chinese cultural things, like the dragon, the circle pendant, the red string, the beads, appropriation? If she lacks the understanding of its significance and history to Chinese people? And what necessarily would be considered appropriation? Also, all of my jade was gifted to me by my family and one jade i bought myself from China. Is gifting jade apart of the culture as well? And would it be wrong if she bought it for herself?
Also side comment. Could other Chinese people inform me of some good sources to understand jade in chinese culture. To send to her and also educated myself more. Or just make a post. I grew up in america so i only know a basic understand of jade and Chinese culture, but id love to learn the whole history surrounding it.

2021.12.01 19:35 affablemisanthropist Managers-You Can Help Your Employees and Should

If you are a manager you can and should stand up for your people when your employer treats them badly.
Employee sick? Let them stay home. If another manager tries to give them shit, back your employee up. Tell your employee that they don’t have to share private medical information or justify how sick they are. Tell them that if they truly are sick, you will believe them and support them.
Employee having stress over taking care of their kids? Ignore it if they come in late or leave early to take care of their family. Don’t say shit. Cover for them as long as you can and keep the other managers off of them for as long as possible, and hopefully indefinitely.
If they need to temporarily work from home, you have the authority to make that happen until someone tells you different. And when they do, you can advocate for them. You can demand that your employer respect their mental health and well being.
Stand up for your people. You’re not a manager to be served, you are a manager to serve. Do your best to compensate for crappy policies and action from your employer. Even if you hate your job, you can be happy that you might just be making it tolerable for your employees.

2021.12.01 19:35 taaiwa Rambam

What is the highest form of charity?
Is entrepreneurship intrinsically charitable?
“If you’re an entrepreneur, you already know.
The question was answered more than 800 years ago by a medieval Jewish scholar, Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon. In his Mishneh Torah, Maimonides frames different levels or degrees of tzedakah. The meaning of the Hebrew word tzedakah is broader than merely charity or philanthropy. It incorporates a notion of social justice acknowledging the impact charity has on both the recipient and the giver, and the obligations on those who have been blessed.
The highest rung on Maimonides ladder of tzedakah is the person who helps another to become self-supporting by a gift or a loan or by accepting the person into a business partnership or by helping the person find employment.
Entrepreneurs are a rare breed. We often focus on their unwavering determination, gritty perseverance, or prescient innovation. But their greatest accomplishment is the creation of jobs.
This past year has been brutal for many. As our economy is poised to rebound, let’s celebrate the entrepreneur, the job creator.”
